It all began at Zov’s, just dinner between two people who didn’t know what was about to start. Conversation came easily and when the night ended, Eden offered to walk Beth to her car. She politely refused. (In her defense, she didn't know he was the one!) On the drive home, Beth called a friend to say she had been the most awkward version of herself imaginable. “I can’t believe I actually winked at him, mortifying!” That wink was, in fact, the reason Eden asked her out again. What followed, were dates that felt straight out of a Hallmark movie, hikes, beach days, apple-picking, hockey & baseball games, and one ice-skating date where Eden taught Beth how to make empanadas. When Christmas came, Eden helped Beth put up her nine-foot Christmas tree, and a few weeks later, when Beth caught norovirus, Eden showed up without hesitation to take care of her. Before they knew what hit them, they’d become best friends. They flew to Seattle to celebrate Beth’s birthday, exploring the Olympic Peninsula. It was there, at Lake Crescent, that Eden proposed and Beth said yes!
